Undergraduate Research Information Meetings . . . For anyone who wants information on the undergraduate research options available in the Department of Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Science. The meetings are held the third Wednesday after classes begin each semester.
Cookouts . . . Cookouts begin at 12:00 pm on the courtyard in front of the Science Building. Typically, we have an early fall semester cookout, late fall semester cookout, and a spring cookout. Everyone's invited!
Flamingo Navidad . . . Last cookout of fall semester, just before finals. In December 2004, we collected stuffed animals for donation to the Childrens' Hospital of the Kings Daughters.
Typical Activities and Events:
Whale watching off Virginia Beach
- Camping in the mountains
- White water rafting on the James River
- Trips to the Smithsonian and Baltimore Aquarium
- Cookouts at the Science Building
- Environmental cleanups at various sites around Tidewater
- Assisting events at the Noland Trail and the Newport News Bay Days
- And, of course, occasional parties!
