LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION REQUEST FORM (pdf)

LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION REQUEST FORM (Word)

Request a letter of recommendation from your faculty to assist you in obtaining that perfect job.

The most important thing you can do now, is to get to know your professors and have them get to know you. Share with your faculty your professional goals. Seek their advice in designing your curriculum and selecting related academic courses and areas.  You will be asking them for letters of evaluation. Cultivate relationships with your instructors early in your academic career. Ask questions in and out of class. Visit your professors during scheduled office hours.  BCES faculty are open to exchanging ideas with students and helping promote their success. But you must initiate the contact yourself.

PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS - Excellent career support and networking resources.

The Office of Career Development
can assess your personal skills, aptitudes and interests, help you write an outstanding resume, and improve your interview skills to help you get that dream job.  For a list of career options for Biology majors, check out "What Can I Do with this Degree?;" for Environmental Science majors, "What Can I Do with this Degree?;" for Ornamental Horticulture, "What Can I Do with this Degree?," or visit the Office of Career Development.

Considering graduate school?

Talk to faculty for advice.  Getting accepted into graduate programs is different from getting accepted into undergraduate programs. Check out CNU's Master of Science in Environmental Science.
