Dr. Richard Cheney

Rick Cheney came to CNU in 1985, after spending 9 years teaching at other colleges.  He has a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts (1969) and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry/Genetics fromDuke University (1975).  He also held a two-year postdoctoral research position in Microbiology at North Carolina State University. 

When not in front of the class, he can often be found working with various local theater groups or doing genealogical research on line.  Dr. Cheney currently teaches Principles of Biology, Genetics and occasionally Vertebrate Embryology.  He has two sons.
