Dr. Mark Gray is an instructor of microbiology, genetics and molecular biology. Dr. Gray earned a Ph.D. in Pathology from Thomas Jefferson University, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He continued his studies on the relationship between mechanism of DNA replication and the expression of genes that regulate the cell cycle as post-doctoral fellow in the departments of biochemistry, ob/gyn oncology and pediatrics at the University of Virginia school of medicine. As a member of the graduate research faculty in the department of BCES, Dr. Gray now sees his primary role as a provider of training and research opportunities for both graduate and undergraduate students who wish to develop applications that will transfer biomedical technologies to other scientific disciplines.
