Health Professions Advisory Committee

Members of the Health Professions Advisory Committee (HPAC) guide you through your academic preparation and your professional school admissions process.  HPAC will help you to develop a portfolio to support your application; the committee can also provice help with interviewing skills, and can write a committee letter of recommendation (highly favored by most admissions committees).

The HPAC's Board of Consulting Professionals (BCP) is a group of local health practitioners who provide advice to the HPAC regarding matters related to their professions, participate in the evaluation of student candidates for their respective fields, and help with placement of students in internship/shadowing opportunities.

Of course, to get to those interviews you'll need letters of recommendation (pdf) and before your actual interviews it probably wouldn't hurt to explore ethical issues in preparation any questions you may be asked. During your academic career, it is also important that you develop a student portfolio.
