Over the course of your academic career, you should build a portfolio so your faculty advisor and the Prehealth Advisory Committee can give you the most accurate personalized advice and recommendation. The portfolio should contain the following information:

• Copy of academic record (unofficial transcripts)
• Resume/curriculum vitae
• Personal statement
• Internship, volunteer, or shadowing documentation or evidence of exposure to the profession
• Letters of recommendation from health professionals and faculty

When a portfolio is complete, meet at least once with members of the Prehealth Advisory Committee for a consultation. The Committee then composes a composite letter of recommendation on your behalf.
