Factors Influencing Roosting Behavior in Bats

On Oct 4, 2005 we located and retreived several dataloggers from inside and outside the schoolhouse in Yale, Virginia: 2 outside and 3 inside (1 near the entrance/exit, 1 inside near the roost, and 1 inside near window). The dataloggers record the temperature and relative humidity every 30 minutes. We then use the data to compare conditions inside and outside the schoolhouse and to consider why the bats roost in certain areas of the schoolhouse. We also estimated the colony size to be 30-40 bats.
