Creating a Bluebird Trail

Jonathan Warren, Master of Science in Environmental Science student, along with Biology 425-Ornithology Labs, installs a Bluebird Trail in the Mariners' Museum Park, Newport News, Virginia.  Jonathan's thesis work will include bluebird monitoring in the park.

 

Bluebird houses were donated by

The Mariners' Museum, Newport News, Virginia, has approved the installation of twelve bird houses to be installed and maintained by Jonathan Warren (Dr. Rick Sherwin, advisor) creating a Bluebird Trail as part of the five-mile Noland Trail which follows the shoreline of Lake Maury.  It is also registered as an official Bluebird Trail with the Virginia Bluebird Society.   Posts for the birdhouses were donated by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.
