Opportunities abound in the BCES Department for interaction between faculty and students.  Each semester we sponsor social functions including our famous Flamingo Navidad cookout toward the end of fall semester and our tropical, Hawaiian apparel cookout in the spring. 

Students have the chance to learn how to become involved in research as an undergraduate at the Graduate Student Association's Student Research Seminars on Wednesdays throughout the academic year. 

Along with occasions to mingle with your faculty, the Department sponsors very important student clubs:  The Biology Club, Horticulture Club, and Prehealth Student Club.  Each club invites you to take the opportunity to connect with fellow majors; a real camaraderie develops and study groups form.
